Fall Apple Cake Recipe

Fall Apple Cake Recipe, the flavors of fall on each slice of this delicious cake, buttery, sweet and moist! The best way to have "that apple a day"! #applerecipe #applecake #falldesserts
Hola Amigos: I'm guess I'm feeling daring with my oven lately! So far no fails and I hope I don't jinx it after this one.
We had a lot of apples in this house this year, maybe because my little one likes to take one to school everyday, maybe because a nearby neighbor lets us go into her yard and pick as many as we want or maybe no matter where we go we get a box full of free apples! Who am I to complain about this! The more the merrier and free makes them taste even sweeter.

But after a while...what am going to do with all of them? way too many in just one week, here comes girlfriend with her tried and tested Apple Cake recipe, and even though I panic every time I'm baking sweets I have to mix myself, she told me there was no way I could mess this one up.

Wow was she right! It was good...too good I would say, because half of it got eaten by a pack of hungry teenagers before I could take a pic of the entire thing. You can picture right now my expression when I came to take the pics and half the cake was gone!!!!!! <-----insert the "Home Alone Plus" face here.

I'm sure you've tried this recipe before, it was my first time and it won't be the last!
Fall Apple Cake Recipe, Do you have an abundance of apples? Use some to make this sweet and moist cake! An juice apple bite in every slice! #applecake #apples #applerecipes

Of course, as tradition mandates, well at least tradition in my house, if it's called cake, it needs Ice Cream, and caramel and, well I was out of chocolate this time, but you get the idea!

Fall Apple Cake Recipe, a sweet way to use all the apples of the season, use what you have at hand and enjoy this sweet treat #applecake #apple #falldesssert

Thank You for visiting the blog today! Are you having an abundance of Apples as well? What do you do with all of them, care to share? Remember my friends, everything tastes better with a Pinch of Love!
Fall Apple Cake Recipe, if you are not into Pumpkin this is a delicious and easy to make alternative! Good by itself of with ice cream, this Apple Cake is the dessert you've been looking for! #applecake #apples #applerecipe

Bean and Chorizo Crock Pot Soup Recipe, a stick to your ribs soup for those cold fall and winter nights, with the added extra kick of flavor from the chorizo! Delicious! #soups #crockpotmeal #fallsoups #wintersoups
Hola Amigos: These is the season for soups! When it's cold outside all you want is to feel warm all over and sometimes the only way to do that is with a good old fashioned soup.

Today I'm sharing with you an easy recipe for a very tasty bean soup on the crock pot that hits just the spot.
The richness of the beans with the spice of the chorizo makes it ideal for fall and winter! Even the color is inviting and "fall-like"
Bean and Chorizo Crocl Pot Soup Recipe, a delicious and hearty meal for those cold fall and winter evenings, with the robust and exotic flavors of chorizo, this soup is likely to be one of your favorite this coming holiday season. #fallsoups, #wintersoups, #crockpotmeals #souprecipes #soup

I'm using for this recipe the new chorizos by Johnsonville. They are less spicy than your traditional mexican chorizo, very affordable ( I got mine with a 2 for $5.00 deal) and since they are milder in flavor, the soup is also kid friendly.
Bean and Chorizo Crock Pot Soup Recipe Bacon. Chorizo and Beans...let the fiesta begin with these amazing flavors combined in one soup. Comfort in every spoonful

This soup is good by itself, it has big chunks of chorizo and beans, very satisfying. Top it of with sour cream, some green onions and of course some crispy Bacon. Also,if you are like me, no soup is complete without it's side of white rice! I know, It's tradition in my country to have soup with rice, I guess it's like having hamburger with fries here in the US.

Bean and Chorizo Crock Pot Soup Recipe, This recipe will keep you warm from the inside, with the flavors we all love from the beans and the added kick of the chorizo, a favorite for cold fall and winter evening! a crowd pleaser for sure! #crockpotmeals #fallsoups #wintersoups #soups

Pumpkin Shrimp and Scallop Curry Recipe

Pumpkin Shrimp and Scallop Curry Recipe, The ideal #comfortfood just the right hint of spice, flavorful pumpkin and shrimp, Save a Turkey, eat shrimp
Hola Amigos! I'm sharing with you today, my family's October 30th tradition. It's started 6 years when we were trying to have dinner on Halloween night  after my oldest was done with the candy collecting palooza around  the neighborhood. Dinner kept getting interrupted by kids ringing the doorbell for more candy even when bowls were left on the porch for them to grab. They just wanted to keep going collecting with my son which was O.K but I like my food hot! lol ...So we decided to have our Halloween dinner the night before Halloween.
Pumpkin Shrimp and Scallop Curry Recipe, Savory Pumpkin curry is the perfect addition to your Fall #comfortfood line up. Shirmp and scallops bring a nice exotic but affordable touch to this dish. #Fall #curry

We also carve our pumpkins, well just my husband and little one now since I'm busy with dinner, eat Skull Sugar cookies, Pan de Muerto we get at Mexican Town in the city and watch a scary kid friendly movie afterwards.

The main dish always consists of some sort of seafood dish. To me anything seafood means abundance. I grew up with tons of it and we have it at home at least once or twice a week, so why not for Halloween to match the abundance of candy and fun!

This year I've incorporated some pumpkin on this dish to please my husband who unlike me, loves pumpkin. I had to do some research since I'm not familiar with the use of pumpkin in dishes,  found this recipe online here and  tweaked it my way, leaving a few things out and adding some in.

It's delicious and rich! Just the way I like my curry! and to me the most important thing...I can't taste the pumpkin! I know it's there but i can't taste it! that is a win win to me! Will make it again for sure!
It's a bit spicy and with a beautiful orange color, making it perfect for those cold Fall nights!
Pumpkin Shrimp and Scallop Curry Recipe. Because there is so much to pumpkins than pie! This savory dish rich in flavors and textures is the perfect comfort food for Fall cold days! Warm yourself up from the inside out with this colorful and delicious dish, #comfortfood #Fall #curry

Do you have any traditions for Halloween? Are you planning on starting a new one this year? If so, I would love to hear about it. Thank You so much for visiting the blog today my friends. and remember that everything, even in the spookiest nights of the year, tastes better with a Pinch of Love!

Caramel Apple Biscuit Cups Recipe

Hola Amigos! Happy New Week! hope your weekend was fun and uneventful. At the house we tried to take it easy and relax after a few worrisome days  due to a silly  school accident my little one had at his K school. He is fine now but it was a bit stressful with a very lengthy visit to his doctor and right away to the ER. We just had to take it easy and that's how this  treat came to be!

When I'm stressed I crave for little bites of sweet comfort. I had a 3 apples that were not looking to happy and a pint of my favorite vanilla bean ice cream, baked apples with ice cream sounded amazing to me.

I kicked it to another lever baking them on my favorite caramel sauce. Had my dessert and so much left over that the next day for breakfast I decided to stuff our regular Sunday biscuits with the mix!
Oh boy! Now I need to make this every Sunday! They are warm, sweet and juicy. Crispy in the outside and sticky in the inside!
Caramel Apple Biscuit Cups Recipe, hot sticky and sweet! These cups are a combination of caramel apples and apple pie, all thanks to a can of biscuits! Easy to make! #Caramelapples #Fallrecipes #sweetbiscuits #breakfastpastries

My pictures didn't come out good this time, they really don't do justice to how good and gooey these guys are. Note to self, time to get a light box for the soon to be here cold and dark days!

In light of recent commentaries of a certain public figure about bloggers I'm going to say one more time, I'm no expert. I don't have a degree in culinary arts and I have never been the editor of a glossy magazine.
I am an expert of what my family and friends like. After spending 7 years of my life studying in my country and overseas I do have a University degree and I'm the editor of the weekly grocery list I write in order to know what I need to get to plan for my family's meals. Meals that I've been sharing with you in hopes to inspire you in creating something similar to your family adding your own personal touches. You have and that is why almost a year later I keep writing this blog and enjoying each and every one of my readers!
Caramel Apple Biscuot Cups Recipe, give your breakfast pastries a sweet twist with these caramel apple filling! The flavors of fall in one delicious warm and sticky biscuit! #caramelapple #breakfastpastries #fallrecipes

This particular recipe started as one thing and ended as another...don't we all do that once in a while? My guys liked it, they smiled and some licked their little fingers and that was enough validation to me.
But enough of that lady and back to the biscuits, lol...I'm sure you are going to like them. I even drizzled more caramel sauce over them after they were done...yummm!

Thank you for visiting the blog my friends! Halloween is only 10 days away....(And still no costume, ugh!), Give these apples with or without the biscuits cups a try. As I said they are delicious with just plain ice cream, but if you have left overs...go ahead and stuff your morning biscuits with them and give your usual breakfast a sweet tasty spin!  Remember everything tastes better with a Pinch of Love!

1.2 tsps cinnamon
1/2 tsps nutmeg
1/2 tsps allspice
1 can  (8) Grands Honey Butter Biscuits

Heat up oven at 350F
For caramel apples:
Peel and diced apples. Pour 1 tsp of lemon juice on the apples, mix. Add cinnamon, nutmeg and all spice, mix and set aside.
