It's Friday!

Here's a peek at our week.

seeing: the colors are slowly fading out. lots of yellow still here in the valley, but the mountains are browning and the aspens are bare.....winter is coming soon to the mountain tops!

feeling: it was 19° when I woke up this morning. 19°!! That's cold! 

Flannel sheets, flannel shirts, and cozy slippers 24/7. 

thanking: all of you ladies who came out

friday senses

a little peek at the last week....

seeing: orange. yellow. red. gold. pink. fog. rain. snow. fall.

smelling: leaves. earth. rain. cinnamon. roasted veggies. pumpkin.

hearing: sometime between the latest night and the earliest morning....when it's darker than dark, there is a pack of coyotes screaming and laughing at the moon.
It is the CREEPIEST noise to wake up to, trust me.

and just like that......fall

In just a few weeks we went from 80° to frosty morning grass and snow on the mountains. Flannel sheets on the bed make it almost impossible to wake up in the morning, and we are greeted by our frozen breath as we step outside and head for school. There is woodsmoke in the air, and soup on the stove.



I am so excited that soup season is finally here! I love the smell of warm soup floating

After late nights all week I can't wait to sleep in.....at least a bit.

I was hoping to get a garden area going tomorrow.......but it looks like it might be snowing. again.....

It's Friday! How? This week flew by....February really cuts to the chase. 
Lots and lots of good things happened this week. Like....it got up to 26°...hooray!
