April Weekends! 

It felt so good to spend a few of them outside, our winter skin soaking up the sun.



YOUR April looked amazing! I love watching the photos come in each month and seeing the similarities of how we all spend our free time. This month has a little snow....but was filled with camping, exploring, fire-lit evenings, good food, and general springy-ness.

how we weekend: march

Oh weekend.

This last weekend we celebrated (and celebrated and celebrated) my boy's eighth birthday (EIGHT!! more on that soon.) 

We had a favorite cousin come to town. We rock climbed. I hit the trail. 

We watched our church's General Conference.  Fantastic April weekend.



So much happened in March......I still can't believe it passed so quickly. 

We moved. Got settled(ish) in this

we have landed

we are here! moving day came and went in a blur (wait--what day is today?)

we are slowly unpacking our life into this new (very old)
little home.....and we are loving it. 

someday maybe I will find my camera and take some real pictures.....but for now,
here you go...

Oh I just love you guys posting all your weekend photos! You make the most boring month of the year look like one big never ending adventure. Our weekend involved

 -more boxes 

-robby building a shed in a blizzard

lately

how we weekend : january

Can you believe we just went through our last weekend in January?! I was lucky enough to be celebrating my birthday all weekend. Friday Robby took me to Cooper Onion (mmmmm). Saturday we spent some time downtown, ate Ruby Snap  until we burst, and stayed cozy all evening by the fire. Sunday we welcomed a blanket of fresh fluffy snow that washed away our dirty air and painted our world white. It

How was your weekend? I spent mine running through the night in the Vegas Ragnar. It was freeeeeezing.... but so much fun, and some really awesome running.....I'll update you more on that when Ryan's video is done. So thankful for good friends, late night giggling, running under a starry sky, gummy bears at 2am, and now that I'm home, a warm bed and a real toilet:)

There are so many things I just love about technology. I love how easy it is to stay connected to friends and family all over the world by just pushing a few buttons. I have family hundreds and hundreds of miles away and I can talk to them any time I like. We can send pictures back and forth in just a second. I am typing this very post while sitting on my couch--you could read it from your home,

whoa. it's been busy. how is it friday?



We baked cookies last week! We haven't baked in so long......just too hot. But we have been seeing cooler mornings and evenings, and even rain earlier this week.....which could only mean.....



....SOUP! So excited for soup weather. We had a nice end-of-summer Minestrone (read: throw in any kind of veggie we have). I'll

-hanging with cousins

-watching track and field in the Olympics (yay!!)

-car shopping (probably definitely the most annoying thing in the world. it's the longest saddest story how we got here, I will tell you someday. you can cry with me.)

A Morning on Mt Timpanogos

Mt. Timpanogos

via Timpooneke Trail (up American Fork Canyon)
just under 15 miles round trip.
11,749 ft high (6126ft gain)
lots of hiking, some running, a little scrambling to the top.
5 1/2 hours total time. I'd like to go back and see how much of it I could run.

Weekends just go too quickly! We spent ours in Park City (childless, thanks to grandma and papa) and it was realllllllly hard to leave. We don't "go out" a whole lot because we don't have a lot of babysitting options, so when the kids are away......we cram in as much as we can.

 Here are a few quick phone snaps of the festivities (all of which included eating and/or mountains.)
